Melodies :
Here is, I think, the main problem of the track. There's a melody, but it's four notes. It's not enough to be a true melody. You need to build a melody which is memorable. You ought to use more notes and modulate that new melody in order it to catch the listener. For example : make an awesome melody in one part of the song, then, in the next part, use the same melody but change it a bit (more or less notes, change the tone...). Finally, hit the listener with a memorable return of the first version of your melody ! =3

Instruments :
To be honest, your instrumentalisation is my guilty pleasure ! Your mixing is great at some parts (that moment at 0:59, and I like how you rendered your work from 1:00 to 1:45). But your instruments need some work. First of all, I really like your drums and the 8-Bit synthesizer from 0:45 to 0:58. On the negative points, there's that reversed cymbals that is way too high-pitched at 1:45. You used a really weird bass from 2:17 to 2:31 which honestly hurts a bit. Plus, from this part, I don't know what you've done, but it's like the track is accelerating at 2:21. If that's what you wanted, well I can't say it's well done... Finally, that hat at the end of the track has nothing to do here.

Personality :
Your track has not an amazing personality I'm afraid. You need parts that suit together, there must be a logical progression line. The melody needs to be more memorable. I'm still giving you a half-star because of that unusual mixing from 1:00 to 1:45 ! ^^

The melody yes, is four notes, very simple and forgettable, something I caught onto after a bit.
I wanted to do more with my instrumentation, but before I knew how to use more in-vst settings I had mostly used mixer effects, but I'm glad you liked them a bit :p
Overall your review is very honest and spot on, and lucky for you, I am making a new song right now! The melody is a set of chords and I did some better instrumentation and mixing, hope you check it out when it's done! :p

Well, I'm gonna put aside my hate toward religions, no offense ! X)

Melodies :
Melodies are very simple, and this is great. It totally suits the overall mood of the track. I don't have much to say, the strings' melodies are just really nice and the synthesizer from 0:00 to 0:22 or from 1:04 to the end of the track is awesome. =3
I don't really want to talk about the lyrics because my philosophy is pretty anti-religion, and it wouldn't be fair for you.

Instruments :
The instrumentalisation is awesome too ! That synthesizer and strings I was talking about are perfect. So are the drums. I particularly love that weird sound effect on the right channel all along the track ! The climaxes arrangement (1:04 and 2:30) are pretty orgasmic. Your voice mixing suits the track's mood, but it's maybe a bit "exaggerated" at 0:49. It's like you wanted to scare me (like ghosts' "booohs"). It's just at this moment, but it's so enormous that I had to remove half a star. On a good note, I think 2:09 was genius ! Adding an entire speech and turning it into music aaaah my mind is melting...

Personality :
Well, honestly, what can I say about personality ? X)
It's really unique, and I can see (or hear) you wanted to give it that unique aspect. The synthesizer (the one), the "click-click" on the right channel or the speech are just too good. *_*

On 0:49 - I came from a heavy metal background and now I make chill/lounge/downtempo. This part for me in my music is sort of like (for instance) if this was a metal song, 0:49 would be a false chord or fry scream, but instead here we have a loud whisper. It's just how I do. Originally, I sang that in a descending line like the left pan synth at 1:55, but I thought it just didn't sound right. The way I have it now is more like me.

Yeah, I'm not really trying to be original. I just kind of put things together that sound good to me. I think that's how a lot of artists are anyways. I used to try to sound like other people, but that doesn't really work as well.

Those are really nice melodies I think ! I really love the very end of the main melody's loop (like at 0:24), those extra-fast notes blow my mind ! *_*
The moment from 1:20 to 1:27 is also pretty orgasmic, mainly because of that freaking melody ! X)

Instruments :
The mixing is really great, but I think there's minor problems concerning some instruments ! The synthesizer that starts at 0:34 has absolutely nothing to do with the main instrument (which is an electric guitar I think) and doesn't match with the overall track ! The moment from 1:05 to 1:12 is sooo well mixed though ! But maybe you should have made the drums a little bit more... hearable ! ^^

Personality :
It's a highly rememberable track ! Which is great. The only thing is I think the vocals didn't match with this wild-primal themed track ! I mean these vocals could be heard in a spaceship, not on Mars' ground !

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah I´m also not really sure about the Synth Lead sound but it makes the track even more cheesy and I liked that. You are definitely right with the drums. And also with the samples but they were the best theme fitting ones I found ;)

Melodies :
I really like your melodies. They are really complex, and there is a lot of variations ! But I think as it's almost always the same structure, it gets a little bit boring. Even at 2:13, when the structure changes for your buildup, it's the same kind of melodies, I mean it's still a short loop which you drag and drag again (adding some variations). I would have loved if you just had made a longer melody at 2:13 instead of continually dragging the loop.

Instruments :
There are good ideas for the instrumentalisation. The mixing is on point (especially on the beginning, with that ultra-reverbed-subtle-kick I absolutely love). Stopping the background instruments at 1:43 or at 3:28 was hell of a good idea and I loved how you mixed the pan from right to left at 2:28 ! But there is a few little problems. First, maybe you should increase the volume of your snares, then, the transitions such as 2:13 sounds really bad, so do your ending. Finally, it's always the same instruments, there is no variations on this point. Maybe you could have do a more dramatic part somewhere in the music, with fewer (or lighter) and different instruments, in order to give your music a more powerful and complete aspect.

Personality :
Here's the big problem of the track. It's reaaally repetitive and uses always the same structure. The thing is we can't love this music because it sounds always the same. It needs more different parts in order we to never get bored, and make it sounds less generic !

It's of course not a bad track, and you could do amazing pieces with your melodies creation's skills, but it's just pretty generic ! I just hope I'll hear some more of you ! I'm looking forward seeing you back on Newgrounds and I wish you the best for your professional projects ! =)

Melodies :
Here is, in my opinion, the problem of this track. I mean the melody is only 4 notes without any variation until the end ! Because of this, the music sounds kinda ridiculous all along. Maybe a more elaborated melody with some variations would have given this track a more enjoyable aspect.

Instruments :
Well, on this point, I have nothing to say ! It's in my opinion a perfect mixing and mastering and the best instruments you could use for a track of this genre ! I particularly love the beginning : those metallic sounds at 0:08 (and 1:26 if I'm correct) and those stops at 0:14, 0:17, 0:20 and 0:23 blew my mind ! :3

Personality :
The track got a personality for sure (I'd say a disturbed personality, if you see what I mean), but as there is no elaborated melody, this is like it misses something. Like I'd like some more, but not so much because I'm honestly bored... I think you should try to focus on creating an awesome (and complex, if possible) melody next time ! The goal is to make an unforgettable track, which is, I think, impossible without an elaborated melody.

The melodies are reaaally well worked ! This is amazing how you could create different complex melodies and fit them well together like at 0:39 !

Instruments :
Good instruments and mixing too ! In fact I don't really have anything to say as the instrumentalisation is perfectly chosen and the mix is awesome ! I particularly loved the beginning and the powerful 1:02 !

Personality :
Here we have the only problem of this great track : a little lack of personality ! I mean I don't think we can clearly remember this track forever : it's not unforgettable and that's the thing ! I think the melodies are too weak. They need to be more "pronounced", more powerful ! It's not a matter of complexity but of production ! You have to try building a legendary aspect on your main melody. Like making a powerful buildup and an amazing drop just before it arrives for example !

Hmm, i agree with you for the most part. There's parts where it feels a bit empty, for example at around 0:25. I could've also added some sounds that directly support the melodies, i guess. Though i still do think that the melody itself is one of the better melodies i have made.

But there's one statement that i strongly disagree with you, and that is my skills being flawless :P
